With legendary perfumer Jean-Louis Fargeon at the helm, House Oriza created countless fragrances for French royals from King Louis XV to Queen Marie Antoinette, as well as the Royal Courts of Italy and England. Fragrance artist Louis Legrand took over the house in 1811 and then sold it to Antonin Raynaud who renamed it Oriza L. Legrand perfume as a tribute to its famous founders. The Oriza L. Legrand perfume line became a staple at awards events, winning the bronze medal at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1867 and the Grand Prix in 1900. Today Oriza L. Legrand perfume is still made in France, crafted from raw materials of the highest quality using artisanal processes unique to the famous apothecary.
