Perfumes That Smell Like Candy

Posted by: Perfumeaddict, on: Thursday, 15 May 2014

As a child, being set loose in a candy shop was pure heaven. The vibrant colours, the wonderful flavours, the sugar high – yes, candy was the most covetable item in our young lives, and we would do anything just to obtain it and get more it. Candy was present at the most fun times of our childhood, like Halloween and trips to the fair. It was also there to pick us up when we were down – a lollipop made the nasty feeling of a shot go away at the doctor’s office. It was what loved ones gave to us in good times and in bad, little pieces of edible love.

Unfortunately, as we grew older, the body’s acceptance of this wonderful substance became less than forgiving. Candy began making a permanent home for itself in the fat stores of our bodies and in our teeth, getting ourselves in trouble with health professionals and our egos. The most unfortunate of individuals have even developed the inability to process candy and have been placed under strict orders to eliminate it from their lives. Slowly but surely, the magic that candy created for us faded away due to its incompatibility with our adult lives.

However, there is a way for us to enjoy candy as adults without having to suffer the negative consequences. Thanks to a number of perfume manufacturers, we can enjoy candy not by tasting it, but by smelling it. Here are a few delicious perfumes that are good enough to eat - warning: they are not edible, so sniff instead of tasting!

The Aquolina perfume line

One of the sweetest scents available on the market is the Aquolina perfume line. An Italian company, Aquolina Pink Sugar satisfies your sweet tooth with its caramel, vanilla, and cotton candy notes. This perfume has led to the creation of other sweet creations such as the crème brulee of Gold Sugar and the chocolate of Chocolovers. The Aquolina perfume line is sure to please any sugar junkie without packing on the calories.

Gale Hayman Delicious Cotton Candy

The scent of cotton candy sparks nostalgia in most of us because it often reminds of fun times at the fair or exciting adventures at an amusement park. This is why Gale Hayman’s Delicious Cotton Candy will certainly put a smile on your face while you reminisce about all of the fun times and go off to create memories which are even more fun.

Mariah Carey’s Lollipop Collection

Who would have known that Mariah Carey has a sweet tooth? Inspired by her husband’s playful marriage proposal, Mariah Carey’s Lollipop Collection features three sweet fragrances that each come with its own ring pop – Never Forget You, Visions of Love, and Inseparable. Now you can be as fabulous as the diva herself while embarking on a candy-coated adventure.

Pour Femme by Dolce & Gabbana

You don’t necessarily have to have lots of sugary candy in order to get your sweet tooth fix. Pour Femme by Dolce & Gabbana proves just that – with its notes of raspberry and vanilla, you get a warm and subtle sweet mix that satisfies your craving without getting a stern lecture from your doctor.

Paris Hilton fragrances

Contrary to what you may have heard, the heiress is sugar and spice and everything nice – well at least, her perfume line is. The fragrances in the Paris Hilton perfume line-up that put you in the candy shop are Can Can, a sugary scent, and Heiress, which is said to be very playful with its hints of bubble gum.

Britney Spears fragrances

Of course the candy shop of fragrances would not be complete without the fragrances of the bubble gum pop princess herself, Britney Spears. Geared towards a younger market, her fragrances, Midnight Fantasy and Circus Fantasy, put forth a mix of fruity and sweet scents.

There you have it, the candy shop of fragrances. Enjoy!
